People on both sides of this extreme are acting completely ridicolous.
The biggest problems with his movies are the scripts. That takes some guilt away from him. A little bit. Certainly not all of it.
A director can and should order a script to be up to snuff. He failed to do so multiple times now.
His direction is fine for the most part. Sometimes it's even outstanding. Funnily enough, I find some of his best directed scenes to be from BvS. The problem is that the script ways it down so heavily.
His movies having stellar action and cinematography is also widely known.
I'd like to see him take on a great script for once.
